I’m Kanika — engineer by training, ex-MBB consultant, and host by choice. My husband and I built Villa Fursat because we wanted a home in Goa that felt genuinely different. Not a rental property dressed up as one, but a real home with a real personality.
We live in Delhi. We know what it means to need a pause — to put the calendar away and simply be somewhere beautiful with people you love. Fursat — the Urdu word for unhurried, guilt-free leisure — wasn’t just a name we liked. It was the brief.
The story
A home built around a feeling.
We’d been going to Goa for years. And every time, we’d search for a villa that felt like something — a place with a real design identity, rooms that had personality, a garden worth sitting in at sunset. We kept not finding it.
So we built it ourselves. Every room was named and considered. Every material was chosen deliberately. The garden was planted to grow into something, not just to fill a space. The library collected books from people we love.

How we host
Present when you need us. Invisible when you don’t.
Our caretaker lives nearby and knows Villa Fursat better than anyone. You’ll hear from us before you arrive and we’ll check in once you’re settled — after that, your stay is entirely yours.
We respond to messages within the hour. We won’t ask how everything is going three times a day. Years of consulting taught us that the best outcomes come from listening carefully and then getting out of the way. Hosting, it turns out, is not so different.

The books in Khayaal were gifts from friends and family. The plants in Bagh were chosen to grow. Nothing here was bought in bulk or installed overnight. Villa Fursat was built to be lived in — by us first, and then by you.
